Freelance Proofreader

Freelance proofreaders required in Leeds and surrounding areas. This position includes undertaking assignments as and when directed by AK Translations Services.

BSL/English Interpreters

We are seeking applicants for the post of freelance British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter in the Yorkshire and Hampshire regions. The applicant must have at least BSL NVQ Level 3 and English Language 'A' Level qualification or equivalent to provide communication support to the deaf and hard of hearing, within organisations and individuals.

Main Duties:

		You will provide communication support to the deaf and hard of hearing.
		You will be required to interpret in a multitude of settings in order to support
		service users
		You will be dealing with service users who communicate solely through sign
		language.

Skills & Experience:
To qualify for this role we are looking for someone who possesses the following criteria:

		BSL or equivalent qualification
		Experience of supporting people who have hearing sensory impairments
		The ability to translate between spoken English and British Sign Language
		Excellent communication skills
		Reliability
		Able to work upon own initiative
		Must undergo an enhanced CRB Check
